Jörg Richnow

Manager Documentation Management Department

As Head of our Documentation Department, Jörg ensures the delivery of high quality technical documentation to help our clients preserve and manage information. He understands that clear and easy access as well as the integrity of documents are crucial for any plant operation and availability. With over 25 years of experience working in the energy industry, mainly for generation projects, he is a well-known specialist in capturing complex technology into a “user-friendly”, readable prose.

His team successfully coordinates the logistical effort of handling and reviewing up to millions of documents and technical data in large, complex projects.

With particular expertise and focus on thermal and renewable generation, Jörg is a member of VGB, a European technical association for power and heat generation leading the technical group “Plant designation and documentation”. He has published several articles and coordinated the edition of a number of international standards on plant documentation and designation.

Jörg’s educational background includes diploma degree in Electrical Engineering from the RWTH University Aachen and a diploma degree in Business Economics from FU Hagen.  

What gives you the most satisfaction in your work?

I love to turn chaos into structure. I am completely satisfied when our customer recognize that documentation is not only a “necessary evil” but rather pays off as it consistently ensures to track, capture and manage the flow of information.
