Lead Plant Performance Engineer

As lead engineer of the plant performance test team Trevor provides technical guidance and support to a small team of engineers/technicians in the undertaking of performance tests and the evaluation of performance test data. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of instrumentation, process plant and thermodynamics. He also supports thermal efficiency and plant performance initiatives across the business.

Prior to RWE, Trevor worked as the Performance Department Section Head at Parsons Brinckerhoff, which involved leading and performing large performance tests on industrial plants all over the world. This included a large amount of Contractual Performance Guarantee tests under the role of either owner’s or lender’s engineer.

As a professional engineer, Trevor has worked for 37 years in the power generation industry, the last 30 years being in the specialist area of thermal plant performance. His experience spans a variety of industrial processes, from coal-fired to Combined Cycle Gas Turbine, Combined Heat & Power plants, nuclear installations, desalination units, petrochemical and cement works. Trevor’s proven expertise in the area of plant performance extends from overall cycle efficiency down to the analysis of individual components.
