With an installed capacity of more than 8.5 GW, RWE Generation UK, with its business in the UK, produces more than 10 percent of British electricity. This makes the company the UK's second largest generator of electricity. In addition, RWE Generation operates the largest British fleet of gas-fired power plants, along with some coal and a small amount of biomass. The gas fleet includes two of the most modern and highly efficient plants, that are capable of providing 4GW of clean baseload power and vital flexibility services to the grid. RWE’s sites are located across England, Wales and Scotland and the business provides up to 1,600 highly skilled jobs in the UK.
