Inclusion at RWE

Everyone has a right to inclusion. This means that people with and without disabilities should live and work together as a matter of course, because disability and performance are not mutually exclusive. People with disabilities should be equal and self-determined members of society and should also work together with people without disabilities. This is legally anchored in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. From the legal to the actual inclusion of people with disabilities, however, there is still a long way to go, the first steps of which have already been taken: Inclusion takes place in the mind, which is why all those involved are aware of the great relevance and significance. For example, inclusion or the appreciation of diversity is also an integral part of codes of conduct, target agreements and staff appraisals. Only in this way can we live up to the principles anchored in our corporate philosophy.
