RWE supports the PrOut@Work foundation. For example, the foundation promotes regional network meetings, supports employees to “come out” at the workplace and supports employers on their way to an optimal inclusive workplace.
In addition to gender, age, origin and physical abilities, sexual orientation and identity also influence the personality of each individual. The sexual orientation and gender identity of employees is often seen as a "private matter" and seemingly therefore not relevant for everyday professional life. For RWE, taking social responsibility throughout the company means hiring the best employees, regardless of their sexual orientation. In addition, every employee has the right to live his or her own identity in the working environment.
