To avoid making unprofitable investments, a Major Electricity Power Utility in India assigned RWE to assist them in their plans to set-up a 4000 MW Power Plant in the area of sub-division Barhi of Dist. For its coal requirement of nearly 40Mtpa the plant had to be linked to Kerendari – B&C blocks of North Karanpura coal field.

RWE carried out the Feasibility Study and prepared the Mine Plan for the utilization of coal from the Kerendari – B&C blocks of North Karanpura coal field. In this context, we checked the technical and financial aspects of the mine plan, the extraction concept and detailed mine design, and then conducted an economic viability study by means of cost-benefit analysis and cash flow calculations.
